New Year's Eve is on the horizon and that usually means that it's time for a new set of resolutions. Some people like to focus on their careers, others their love life, some also like to focus on family. Mainly though, you hear from people about their health goals for the new year. You ever walk into the gym in January compared to December and see a lot more people than before? Everyone's trying to lose weight, gain muscle, or just be more active all around. Well, if you are one of those people, we have compiled a list of the top 5 healthiest new year's resolutions and some healthy tips to help make your 2018 the best that it can be.

First New Year's Resolution: Join a Gym

Just as mentioned above one of the most popular and healthiest options for a new year's resolution is to join a gym. Gyms can obviously be a great place to start working on your fitness goals. There is usually a host of different machines to try to help you focus on specific areas of the body. If you're more interested in losing weight and improving your heart health, cardio machines like the treadmill and elliptical are a good way to go. If you want to try and gain some muscle or look more defined, weight machines and free weights can help you achieve that.

If you're not sure what to focus on or how some of the machines work, most gyms have personal trainers that can get you on the right path. Some gyms may even offer a nutritionist to show you some healthy food options to go along with your workout.

Gyms can also be a great way to meet people. There are always different classes you can take such as yoga or spinning so you don't have to exercise by yourself and, why not, find some cool workout buddies. Signing up with a new gym is definitely a way to start your new year right.

New Year, New -and Smarter- Diet

When it comes to getting healthier, it's not just important to stay physically fit and active, you also must watch what you put into your body. One of the best ways to improve your well-being in the new year is by trying a new diet. Sure, there are some diets out there telling you to eat this, not that and then there are some telling you to eat that and not this. It can be confusing and sometimes frustrating trying to find the right diet for you. If you are having trouble deciding, a good way to get started is by seeing a nutritionist who can guide you along the way.

There are also lots of different diet books, but make sure you do the research and see if those diets are based on real facts and results. It also helps to just sit down, plan your meals for the week, and use some good old fashioned common sense. For instance, don't skip meals, just eat smaller portions. Make sure you are getting plenty of fruits and vegetables. Limit your alcohol intake and make sure to cut out sweet, sugary drinks. Make sure to find healthy proteins that aren't just meat and cut your carbs to a smaller amount. Or try getting more micronutrients into your body with help of vitamin IV therapy.

Starting a new diet can be tough but if you commit to it, it'll just get easier and you'll see good results.

Try Nutrient IV Therapy, a Healthy Resolution

What better way to start the new year than by trying something new? If you've never tried Nutrient IV Therapy, IV Nutrition Therapy, or IV Vitamin Therapy, or any of the other names this process is known by, it can be a great way to get healthy. It's basically a safe way to get vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and proteins directly into your body to give you the full effect of those nutrients. When you eat foods with nutrients, your body breaks down a lot of those nutrients before they even get absorbed into your system. Nutrient IV Therapy can provide your body with what it needs right away.

There are many different types of IV Therapy and different kinds of drips. Liquivida Lounge has one to help you detox but also recharge; they have one that can reduce signs of aging and improve your hair, skin, and nails; and they also have one to improve your mood, help you with stress, and improve your focus.

Liquivida Lounge also has a professional, courteous, and experienced staff to make you feel relaxed and help give you the best service possible. If you want to feel healthier and get the right nutrients into your body, nutrient therapy is the right place to start.

In 2018, Join a Sports Team

Another healthy new year is by joining a sports team or trying a new sport. There are so many sports to choose from that can help you get into shape and actually be a lot more fun than hitting the gym. If you're someone who enjoys team sports and getting to know new people, there are always meetups that do volleyball, soccer, or even adult dodgeball, for novices, intermediates, and experts. Some cities have classes and lessons and the local athletic center.

If you are the kind of person that likes single sports, your local aquatic center is a good place for water sports such as swimming. You can even find things like kayaking or paddle boarding at local shops by the beach or intercostal. Often, they will have people there to give you lessons. Trying a new sport can help you get out of your comfort zone while also having a lot of fun and getting a sense of accomplishment. Sports can help give you the discipline to stay in shape and help you work on other skills as well.

New Year's can mean getting a chance to start over again but we often forget that we bring some of our baggage and bad habits over. One way to really make the most of a new year is by quitting something unhealthy. For many people, smoking is a bad habit that can be very difficult to quit. One option is to come up with a plan and find a support group like nicotine anonymous to assist you in this difficult time. There you can find others like you that you can also help. Some people like to use nicotine gum or lozenges to stop smoking and wean themselves off of the nicotine.

The same thing goes for alcohol, its good to find a support group such as alcoholics anonymous, if your problem has made you into an alcoholic. Or you can find some handy guides online to find out how to still have fun and not depend on substances.

Junk food can be an addiction as well. Places like Weight Watchers can help guide you to quitting addictive substances such as sodium and sugar that you often find in fast food meals. Whatever your bad habit, know that there is help out there so that you can start the new year by getting rid of the negative and focusing on the positive.

Start the New Year Right with Vitamin IV Therapy.
